Dignitas was awarded the Dynamic Terrain Applied Solutions (DTAS) Phase III contract in September 2012. This award continues Dignitas’ success at receiving Phase III funding as follow on to successful SBIR efforts. The DTAS Phase III contract vehicle provides the means for Dignitas to expand dynamic terrain functionality and apply it across a wide range of potential transition targets. Research areas include procedural generation of models and advanced scenario generation capabilities, physics effects, and more. Integration activities will seek to extend OneSAF’s Environment Runtime Component with advanced dynamic terrain functionality capability of supporting construction equipment simulators. This last task has already been slated for OneSAF integration through RIB item 176 in support of advanced, interactive terrain skin modifications.

In addition to OneSAF, transition targets include the Construction Equipment Virtual Trainers (CEVT), Common Driver Trainer (CDT), Virtual Clearance Training System (VCTS), Reconfigurable Vehicle Simulator (RVS), and more.
