Megacities and Simulation Research

Posted on July 1st, 2016

U.S. Army PEO-STRI has awarded Dignitas Technologies a Phase I SBIR to study the representation of Megacities in Modeling and Simulation applications. Dignitas' effort, named Dense Urban Environment Technology (DUET), will address challenges that limit the ability of U.S. forces to conduct synthetic training in complex urban environments.

Dignitas' Jon Watkins presented technical challenges with representing Megacities at the recent TRADOC G-2 Mad Scientist Conference on Megacities in Arizona and this work provides a natural follow on to address these issues. Dignitas is an industry leader in Synthetic Natural Environments, conducting research for organizations such as PEO-STRI and RDECOM ARL ATSD.

Dignitas Technologies, established in 2004, is dedicated to understanding customer Modeling, Simulation, & Training (MS&T) needs and providing specialized, architecture-centric, agile solutions. We specialize in system and software analysis, design, development, testing, and fielding of MS&T and mission rehearsal applications.
