Dignitas Technologies was recently awarded the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Alternative Software Architecture for Portable Electronic Maintenance Aids (PEMA) contract. The overall focus of the project is to investigate alternative operating systems (OSs) and software architectures for PEMA to reduce the time and effort required to meet the Department of Defense (DoD) security guidelines while ensuring that PEMA systems remain compliant with the overarching DoD guidance. Dignitas is leveraging our expertise in OSs, cyber security, containerization, and integration of complex systems to improve the Fleet’s ability to maintain DoD security requirements on the PEMA devices. At the conclusion of the Phase II SBIR, Dignitas will be prepared to transition this technology to the Navy.
