Research into SNE as a Service (SNEaaS)

U.S. Army PEO-STRI (PM ITE) has awarded Dignitas Technologies funding to continue research into the next generation of Synthetic Natural Environment services. Results from year 1 of the effort are described in the I/ITSEC 2016 conference paper titled “Future Simulation Paradigms and Synthetic Natural Environments”.
Ongoing work will investigate approaches to make SNE services that are able to support a wider range of applications (increasing commonality), as well as approaches to moving to “SNE as a Service.” In addition to looking at longer-term goals, the research will consider ways to provide near-term transition and build upon related efforts such as PEO STRI’s Live-Synthetic Training, Test & Evaluation Infrastructure Architecture (LS TTE IA).
